HUNGARY - GENERALLY

A beautiful and nostalgic view in the puszta, horses and buggies are still used by a lot of people.

Another particular sight, the Trabant. Those cars are made of polyester and make a lot of noise.

Our dear sister Boriska, reading her bible with double glasses. Living in poor circumstances but always joyful in the Lord, it is a real blessing to visit her and to encourage each other with bible-verses and songs. A few years ago her husband died and now she lives with her son in a small farmhouse on the puszta.

This reformed church is situated in the middle of nowhere, sadly not many people are attending anymore. Please pray for the pastor of this church (one of the three in this district) for wisdom and strength. The pastor is a born-again believer and faces many difficulties and struggle with the conservative church leaders.

HUNGARY - Good News Foundation

Here you see the new building from our contact in Hungary, Ficsor Karoly, who is working among the gypsies and poor people in the villages, giving them not only material but also spiritual help.

Some material we could bring and were happily received by our brother.

For many years we have contact with this brother and could see that this mission has been very fruitful. Hungary is a spiritual dark country with many needs and also lots of people are in need of material things and food. This brother combines the material help with spiritual support. Every sunday there is a meeting and also during the weeks there are bible-studies, prayer-meetings and conferences are held several times each year.

ROMANIA - FILADELFIA SCHOOL

Here you see some of the children who are staying in the school for the whole year, except vacations. They are from poor families living far away, or orphans. They are sleeping with 4-6 persons in one bedroom and get food and help with housetasks and learning. One boy (not on this picture) had a terrible background, he saw how his father murdered his mother and his father was sent to prison after this. So he was left all alone and now he can be in a loving, caring atmosphere. The most important thing is that they are confronted with the gospel. Could you please help with your donations that this children can stay here?

ROMANIA - Poor people

This place looks worse then a barn but there are really people living in this shack. Can you imagine?

Those woman are walking each day 10 miles to sold their self-made brooms, wearing them on their shoulders. They are living under very bad circumstances in a poor mountain-village and try to earn some money with those brooms to buy food for their families.

Here two of them receive self-made scarfs from a Dutch woman.

ROMANIA - Ankoetsa

Here you see the booster we could deliver last November 2008. Ankoetsa is very happy with this scooter and she is able to leave the house alone now and to spend some time outside. She uses only her left hand but can drive very smoothly.

This is Ankoetsa, a girl from 21 years old who is suffering from a very rare disease, causing swears all over her body. We helped her several times with payment for surgeries. Now she need a new surgery because the swears in her mouth are coming back and she hardly cannot eat anything. She has lots of pain and we would like to ask you for your prayers. She is very afraid for a new surgery because of the pain. We were able to deliver a laptop some time ago and she likes it very much. She is very creative and with the program "Paint" she makes beautiful pictures. On our next trip we want to deliver a scooter (for disabled persons) which somebody from the Netherlands kindly donated. Then she can leave her home for short trips, now she has to stay all the time in the house.

Material help to Hungary/Romania

Here you see 2 ladies who are very helpful for our mission. They made contact with the Struyk Fabriek who are so kind to give away food for Eastern Europe.

Here we are at the destination in Hungary with those food, gratefully accepted by our contact in Hungary, Karoly Ficsor who is working among gypsies and other poor people, reaching out with the gospel and material help.

GYPSY CHURCH - ROMANIA

HELP TO NEEDY PEOPLE IN ROMANIA

This deaf, rheumatic woman was living all alone in a shack, without help or hygiene under terrible circumstances. We could help her to find a good home with good care and she is happy and satisfied now.

Ankoetsa, the girl on the left suffered from a rare sickness. She has big festers all over her body and some limps are deformed. We could help this girl with paying a few surgeries. She suffers a lot and her family is very poor. Please pray for her.

The most important thing you can give is a bible of course. This man asked for one and on our next visit we could help him. He was very happy with this precious Word of God.

HELP TO POOR PEOPLE

This poor family lives with 14 persons in 2 small rooms, incredible. We could deliver here some shoes for the children.

Some food-parcels for this poor family living in a village in East-Romania.

We should not call this a house but people really lives in this shack. We could help them with a washing-machine (second hand). With a family of 14 persons not a real luxury, till now they did everything by hand. No streaming water, only electricity

FILADELFIA SCHOOL ROMANIA

Last december we brought sweets and clothes for the children and orphans at Filadelfia school, Suceava.

For the small children in Kindergarten we brought some toys received from a German brother.

Here a class has a musical lesson, Romanians pay much attention at singing and are mostly very fond of music.

Goods brought from Holland were happily received!

Inside the new building which will be used for conferences, evangelization-meetings and storage room for helping goods.

On a regular base we are supporting brother Ficsor Karoly, who is evangelizing among gypsies. He founded a small church and is very active in helping poor people and to meet spiritual needs. His whole family is involved in this mission called "Good News Foundation"

ROMANIA

This is a church that has been built for a small Gypsy village, where only since a few years people have come to know the Lord. One pastor called Costica Macoveiciuc from Suceava started an alphabetization course and after finishing this course the people received a children-bible. Many gypsies came to belief because of those children-bibles and because they saw the care and love from christians. There is still a need for finances to finish those churches, would you help?

Romania, Suceava; This is a beautiful christian school project, that involves many challenges and many new ideas. 600 Children are going to this school, where most of them can't pay for education. The school exists from donations, prayer and God's hand!
